The swimsuite is great! I'd like to make one, but I'm curious what everyone thinks: would the swimsuit look ridiculous in a D-cup?

Give it a shot! It looks like the top is pretty full coverage, and you could make the straps even wider for comfort if you wanted. Make it as-is and if you don't like the peekaboo front, you could add in a nude panel later. Or do the midriff band in a contrast, and make a modesty panel of the contrast. Make it removeable, for options!

That is SO funny!

Maybe I will give one a try. I have a modern bathing suit and a victorian bathing suit. This will be a nice middle ground.

lol I'm also a big fan of the Cole of CA and Jantzen vintage 1-pieces from the 50s.

Some friends and I went on the Tiki Central Annual Tiki Crawl this weekend, so I thought I'd post a couple of pics of our Hawaiian outfits. :)

Sweetpea, Suzanne and me. (Suzanne and I are both wearing Whirling Turban dresses)

And with one of the Tiki Crawl organizers, Humuhumu. (I so want to make a dress like hers now!)

And we're all decked out in Diva Pinup hair flowers, of course!

Thank you, ladies. :)

Jitterbugdoll, I picked up that purse at the Vintage Expo I've mentioned a little over a year ago, and this is the first opportunity I've really had to carry it. I need to go out to tiki bars more often! ;)

Thank you! It's so cute. I'm going to Oahu in November, I'm going to search high & low for one like it.
