I went last night too but didn't recognise anyone! I did get there a bit later than planned as we went to see the exhibition first. The dancing room was packed so we just ended up hanging around the outside and the cocktail room. I agree Ada Veen, there were some fantastic outfits on show - I particularly loved a group of women's 1940s hats. A couple of girls came up to me and said they loved my hair (my usual pageboy) and asked for instructions which was nice.

I didn't make it sadly, as I had an emergency rush to the What Katie Did boutique to change some bits I ordered to wear in a fashion show on Sunday - both things were wrong! Then I had to rush home to take the cats in (late) for their yearly jabs, which resulted in a very badly ripped open hand when one realised I was trying to put him in the cat box! lol
Couldn't face trekking back into town after all that.

What were you wearing, SarahLouise? I wonder if we saw each other.

I was wearing a 50s beigey cropped sweater with a black pencil skirt and heels. What were you wearing? I did keep my eye out for fellow loungers but didn't spot anyone!

I had on an orange dress with a black belt. I know what you mean about the hats, I saw some great hats!

Hope your hand is ok, Fleur.

I actually have a photo taken later that night, though we are much drunker and more disheveled then we were at the event, and have the red-eye of the Devil himself:

I think I did see you actually! I remember admiring your lovely dress but I didn't know it was you, otherwise I would've said hello lol

Thankyou! The dress was really cheap as it had a big old hole in the front.

Now that you have a new avatar (the one before the one now!) you look a little familiar... maybe I saw you, or maybe I have imagined it because I have looked at your avatar so often now! I really like your haircut.

I am very jealous! My husband and I went to the Tiara ball at the V&A in 2002, it was wonderful - such a great venue.

I was looking at the exhibition website a few weeks back, and there is a great pattern on there. Sent it to my mother-in-law, just in a 'look, an exhibition website with a pattern, how cool is that' and she emailed back and asked permission to make me the dress! Now, that is cool. She is visiting this week and bringing colour swatches for me to choose from.
