You just have to go to the right side of the screen and hit "download." There is no preview.

Thanks Robert!!!!! This is absolutely spectacular. For anyone looking to get into making hats, this provides a great picture reference of the tools.

Thanks for posting this, Robert. Great stuff! Or should I say, Grand stuff!

I've usually found that #952 blocks tend to match the typical #52 block, so using that logic, it looks like I need to look for #55 or #955 blocks for Derbies. Anybody have they want to sell? :D

Seeing old catalogs like this reminds one of what a huge manufacturing center Chicago once was.

Thanks for sharing your e-bay find by scanning and posting it for all to enjoy and learn from!

Now if only all these tools and machines were easier to find (and didn't cost a fortune when found)...

I always wonder (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) if there are warehouses or old stores/shops in old buildings somewhere that still have these preserved. In my area there are a couple of remaining mom and pop type men's clothing stores still around in the same old buildings they've been in for 50+ years. I've managed to find some nice vintage lids that were sold by these places back in the day so I like to bring them in (or wear them in if they fit) and show them to the current owners. Unfortunately if they carry anything now it is of the cheap wool variety. Anyways...I've asked about old tools for working on the hats, etc and have been told---oh yeah we used to have those but got rid of that stuff 40+ years ago (sigh). One place even has remnants of where they used to store and work on them in the back with shelving, but of course all of the hats and tools long gone...oh well back to my dreams....
