I was lucky enough to be visited by the hat fairy today.
This Borsalino has just come back from Art for some attitude adjustment.

I appologize for the poor photos.
This Stetson Flagship under went major reconstruction from the inside out literately. Here is a before photo if you don't remember

Seriously, that Flagship really came back from the dead! Great work on both hats.

And then this came. How sweet it is , soft felt,tall crown wide brim nicely decorated and a super color. It does have some minor surface moth damage but man is it nice.

Love that Mallory, too- especially the tall crown.

I have been receiving my last (sob) renovations from
Art, too. I hesitate to post them for fear that it'll cause
rioting since he doesn't do that anymore. I personally
might riot since I have at least 3 more hats that really need it.

That stetson cleaned up nice, and was well worht saving. But I'm loving the Mallory. There's something very Lash La Rue or about it. It just begs to be sung under.

Those hats look very nice.
the flagship has risen from the dead. The extreme dip in the bow is not exactly my cup of tea, still- wow!- what a hat!
the borsa is beautiful. you do the "to the side" swoop well.
and the mallory is a quite interesting hat.

I saw the Mallory, something said bid, and of course I didn't listen...Douglas, you devil, that is one remarkable example of hatmaking-I'm very glad you got it, and I'm glad that my eyes could appreciate the same quality of artistry. Bravo!

Thanks Ideaguy, I think we all have an inate sense of quality even though our tastes are different.I know that I some times pass on certain hats because it may not be what I am looking for or I miss others because my eye is trained on one shape while I scan the lists. I find the best ones when I go slower and am relaxed.
