Nice stick. I've never seen one with an antler handle. Very cool. Gives me some ideas.

Thanks! It's more cane length than walking stick length. I made it a few yrs ago out of hickory I cut. I've made several & still have some hickory & some Osage Orange drying in my shop. Probably need to get out in the woods & cut some more as it takes a couple of yrs for them to dry.

This 'stick' is the hickory handle from a matttock that belonged to my maternal grandfather. The wood had rotted inside the steel part of the tool. I sanded it down after trimming off the rough ends and waxed it down with neutral shoe wax. Straight as a good guitar neck and the hardest piece of wood I've ever held, yet it still has bore holes in it. Well over 100 yrs old.
