Home before the sun disappeared this evening. Sipping a Guniness eating an apple on the deck after a long walk was the perfect combination. A vtg. Open Road, my dog and I spent a glorious couple of hours on a walkabout enjoying the cool and breezy weather. The breeze, while strong, blows the insects away. A treat of an evening. The beer even taste better.

I headed down to the dock with my dog to watch the sunset. A cup of black tea and a cap were my changes to settle in a chair and enjoy the last of the sunlight.

Wish you folks were here to visit as this is a perfect summer evening. Cheer,s Eric -

Curiosity got the better of me.. had to give this Kirkland blended scotch whisky a go. At $18.99 for a handle it’s probably not Much a sipping whisky. But not bad at all as a mixer. Or if you want a cheap shot with a bit of bite. Definitely paired nicely With ICE ginger lime And Penny’s Marathon.

I am exhausted, but happy to be home before the sun sets. I opened the Tilley box that was delivered this afternoon and am wearing the wrinkled and beat up hat this evening. It is HOT and humid, so I am wearing it and hoping it will do the right thing - perk up bud. I am way to fatigued to care.

Anywho, sipping Omni Brewing Hue Hefe this evening. It is a
hefeweizen-inspired German wheat beer. It is with concentration to taste a hint of of banana and a touch of clove. Lovely beer on a warm summer evening.

Thanks Jack. I was indeed a tired AND crabby person mid-week. Home early this evening (6:30pm) and enjoying the summer evening.

I bought a couple bottles of First Editions bottlings of Longmorn 18 & Blair Athol 18 yr old Single Malt Scotch Whisky on a flash sale. One of these will likely be opened this Sunday on Father's Day. And special Whiskys call for special hats so I chose my Stetson Shady Oak Farm Amon Carter 3X for these pics.

Lucky dude. I have read about those first editions and read reviews praising them. I am intrigued by the reviews of Athol 18. Enjoy the sampling!

I have been puttering about sipping a beer delivered today from Omni Brewing. This is the Omni Melt (Strawberry/Lemon fruit, vanilla and milk sugar). This sour beer hits the spot. I have a bowl of vegetables and a ranch dressing dip on the deck beside me. The combo of the sour beer (taste of fruit/vanilla up front) and the vegi's are dynamite. The days temp is falling with clouds and the evening sky. The combo is nearly perfect when looking over the lake.

I will sample a whiskey much later this evening after some hearty food. No idea - yet!

Cheers, Eric -
