Enjoying a new selection this fine evening. Breken Bock.. described as.. a malty lightly hopped bock styler lager beer. Pairs well with BBQ, roast meats, sharp cheese, berries shortcake or sweet desserts.... and apparently my Cavanagh stingy brim

intriguing beverage, but the description had me with BBQ and roast meats!

Found a lost sheep....forgot all about it.

Congrats on solving that lost sheep problem. I have "aged" some beers purposely to see if they can change taste, for the better. Specifically I aged Founders Oatmeal Breakfast Stout. After 6 months in comparison to a "new" bottle different, but not better. After 1 year the beer was not as sharp flavored. I did not go further.

Lunch was accompanied by a Guinness Stout. Love the creamy foam and first sips.

This afternoon is a Surley Axe Man IPA. It finishes rich and dry - a great beer for watching the birds.

Some clean up of the pantry led me to a discovery of some beers I don’t remember purchasing. So tonight it is a pairing of this unusual Sugar Shack Maple Stout by Third Street Brewhouse and my newest arrival Stetson Standard Quality.

This is one very interesting and tasty beer. Definite maple taste along with coffee.

more of this hat in the New Hats and WHAYWT
