One of our Thanksgiving traditions is to go out to a friend's winery here in the Willamette Valley to get away from turkey leftovers. A bottle of Federweisser wine, which is a young Reisling still in the fizzy phase and a German sausage with grilled goodness. The other delicacy is Zwiebelkuchen, which is like a onion quiche. Absolutely beautiful day here, we sat outside and enjoyed the vineyard for the first time in years.

My brother in law is wearing his Snowy River, and me a SBCD. We are at Kern River Brewery. My brother in law is having an Isabella Blonde, while I am having a Shuttle Bunny IPA.

All of these are so much fun. Is that a curled brim on the SBCD?

Totally rocking that bowler at the winery. I’m only just beginning to appreciate wine at all.

Prolific with my hats and drinks over this holiday, at least by my standards.

Cracking nuts with my Hannah hats flat cap and a Samuel Adams oatmeal stout:

A little boss baby and some light reading with my chocolate milk Lee blue label overbrook and a Sam Adams chocolate bock:

My thanksgiving date trying a Sammy Old Fezziwig with appropriate headgear, like a Dickens. I drank the rest:

Great images of a feast with hats. Love the Topper on her. I'll have to look for Fezziwig, we have Sam Adams out here too.

Thanks, I'm not much of a wine drinker myself. I like the sweet ones, don't care much for the oak flavored ones. I wouldn't make it as a wine snob.
Federweisser is like fruit juice with your breakfast, fizzy and sweet. It is wine in process kind of, hence the fizz. Apparently, it is very traditional in the wine regions of Germany. It is also called Junger Wein (young wine).
