I reckon perhaps that pairing my palm leaf hat and a bottle of chianti makes as much sense as Dean Martin singing country and western music, which is to say (as Bob Hope observed) about as much sense as Gregg Allman giving Sonny Bono a welcome home party. But by golly some of Dino's country was pretty good, and that bottle of wine that my beautiful wife and I shared over dinner was excellent as well, regardless of what hat I wore today.

Another hot & windy day so I chose a Lawman Milan with a cloth sweatband, I know it's going to get soaked from perspiration. Had a coupon for an iced Latte so thought I would try one, but Lattes are just not my thing. They either need stronger coffee or some whiskey added.

I have always found most lattes to be weak on the coffee side. Might as well get a solid jamoca shake from Arby's. What you need is a double or triple shot of espresso to get you going.

On the topic of strong coffee my grandfather, who is quite the coffee drinker, explained that the new Nitro Coffee that seems all the rage lately was too much coffee for him. I am admittedly apprehensive about trying any myself. From my own experience though I was surprised by the quality of the coffee produced in a boiler (much like of a chuck wagon), but after drinking an entire moka pot everyday for week when I set the fire a fixed the coffee I wondered if there were enough grounds in (the moka pot is that strong comparatively). I've since purchased some espresso mugs and no longer allow myself the full pot (9 servings...).
