I recently heard of Mike’s Hot Honey (there are other brands also). This stuff is excellent as a topping on a lot of stuff like pizza, chicken wings & tenders, etc. Add some to your favorite BBQ sauce. Recipes on their website for grilled veggies & more. Walmart & Target carry it or you can buy off the website. Maybe more places. I highly recommend it. Commercial over!

I’d seen Eric had good things to say about it, so decided to try it.
We also just ordered a bottle of Kilchoman. The Whiskey Tribe guy raved about it, so thought we’d give it a go.

Truly glad you enjoyed it. I hope my enjoyment did not over hype the whiskey. I concure that is is affordable and appreciate the taste for a young whiskey. When I have served it to others, mostly those who are not familiar with Ardbeg, they enjoy it. Approachable and yet bold in taste and does not linger long. I do reserve a few of the other Ardbegs for my wife and I's special tasting occasions.

Anywho glad that you enjoyed.

Trick or treat, a few GC German Oktoberfests under my Gannon Highwaymen.

Then home for some Colkegan Single Malt Cask Strength.

Thanks for posting away Jack. Your adventures find me looking on-line to discover what your liquiors are. Your Colkegan purchases find me reading and watching vid reviews. Sounds like a solid whiskey.

A few days of work trave and a long day today find me appreciating being at home and sipping a Surley Hazy beer during a walkabout.

A tip of my whiskey cairn tonight to "The Shoe." Your post inspired me to pour a small dram. I do not have much left in this bottle. Time to pick-up another.

Cheers to all, Eric -

This last bundle order will give me enough back stock until Spring. Even though alcohol won’t freeze I don’t like watching for shipments in the winter when the weather can be bad. Santa Fe Spirits ships thru an e-commerce company named Big Thirst. Big Thirst handles all the permits & shipping for several distiller’s:

Good plan Jack. Thanks for the on-line reference. I am perusing their website the last few minutes. Nice website.

Super wet here today and it feels like the coast, might as well drink a beer from the coast. Drying off and drinking Pelican Brewing's Nectaron Hop IPA in my BB 5X this evening, it's a pretty strong IPA at 7.1% but it's got great flavor. View attachment 462461

I work with a guy from New Zealand and who we hired from CA and he speaks highly of this IPA. His claim is that the New Zealand Hops are definitely special. I will have to see about sourcing some of these so he and I can sample them. We have used his sources to acquire beers from the west coast to sample. The hunt for different US beers has been fun.

Thanks for sharing.

Early 1950s Royal Stetson Stratoliner for a trip to the local taproom to enjoy Lord Winston, an excellent British style ESB.

Ok, I admit I had to look up what ESB is. Extra Special Bitter. "

The final ESB beer will have fruity tones and aromas that are readily recognizable to the experienced nose. The beer balances nicely between hop bitterness, malt toast taste, and fruit, with the sweetness coming through mid-palate before drying to a clean and pleasing hoppy finish."

Cool. I now know about ESB and will have to look for it.

Tonight I am sipping a Lift Bridge Brewing Juice - Z New England IPA. It's described as "A monstrous blend of fruit-forward hops is balanced out with golden malt, wheat and oats. Forget the bitter aftertaste – this New England Style IPA is smooth, citrusy ray of tropical sunshine in an otherwise chaotic world." Delicious is my take tonight. I will definitely look for more of this beer.

Good Daylight Savings morning to all. The change of time is hard to adjust. Up very early according to the new time. I grilled breakfast around 7:30am. Buffalo sausage, an egg and oatmeal. My breakfast beer was a Guinnness.

I have yard work ahead of me today as you can tell by the above pic.

In the below collage showcases today's Guinness and morning coffee as well as yesterdays Surley Supreme and a dinner of Pho Dac Biet (rice noodle soup with rare lean beef, well done flank, brisket, soft tendon, tripe and beef balls).
