Rock Town's Peach Shine with a Gannon in natural. Tastes like real fresh raw peaches & not artificial. On the label it says it is great mixed with orange juice or over the top of vanilla ice cream. I might have to try the vanilla ice cream idea before this is gone.

^^^Same Resistol as above.

Resistol XDoubleX OR clone with Teeling Irish Whiskey for Happy Hour(s) at home. I'll be wearing a mask for a liquor store run soon or using curbside service.

Both this Resistol & the Teeling are hitting the spot this afternoon.

I like the crease coming along on that 2X. The color of the Teeling looks mighty nice as well.

Dawned a Stetson One-hundred & a bandanna for a face mask to hit a couple of liquor stores. I've been enjoying Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey so I picked up a couple of bottles plus I wanted to step up & try a bottle of Teeling Single Malt.

I thought I would compare color but the Single Malt comes in a dark bottle, so it will have to wait until opened. Teeling also distills a Small Batch & a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.

At my second stop I found a recent delivery of Wood Hat Aged Blue Corn Whiskey, after everyone has been out of stock for some time. Only 4 bottles on the shelf so I was polite & only bought 2.

Some Maestro Dobel Diamanté makes up the rest of today's haul.

Jack, let me know your thoughts on the Teeling Single Malt. I'm a big fan of both Scotch and Irish single malts but had never heard of Teeling.

I will Perry. I'm thinking the 3 they call the Trilogy (the Single Grain, the Single Malt, & the Single Pot Still) are all non chill filtered too.

From reading the tube the Single Malt is distilled from 100% malted barley, matured & finished in five wine casks (Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy, Cabernet Sauvignon).

The Single Grain that I have been drinking & like a lot is distilled from a mash bill of 95% corn and 5% malted barley that has been triple distilled and matured exclusively in French oak Ex-Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks from California.

I'm planning on having some Carne Asada tonight so I'll be drinking Tequila, but I'll be road testing the Single Malt soon. Let you know.

+1 to Perry's query about the single malt. Oh boy a single malt Teeling- I am really interested in your impressions.

This afternoon I am preparing a pasta, chick pea, ginger soup (clery, carrot and onions have already cooked down) and have added a dram of bourbon, according to the recipe, to the chicken stock. I added Speyborn 10 to the soup mixture and it is simmering. The choice of a Scotch Whisky was so that I could sip a wee bit. It is delicious this afternoon in the kitchen. I have high expectations for the soup. Topped with Minnesota parmigiana cheese and parsley served with grilled sourdough bread sounds like a solid Friday quarantined meal.

Late lunch with a Omni Melt beer.

Even with all the social distancing and facemask rules... I would still be a tad bit uneasy entering a liquor store with a bandana over my face. More so than a bank really. I imagine old habits and itchy trigger fingers die hard.
