The Pennys Marathon seemed to be the hat perfect for the occasion.

I sipped a Founders Oatmeal Breakfast Stout after a dog walk this evening. It is truly a fav of mine. I am home much earlier than is my "normal." My dog is surprised to a change of schedule. So am I.

Grilling some buffalo steaks and sipping a glass of wine. It is a perfect time to second guess today's execution of closing the business til 3/30. No clients, but office admin., communication, publishing vids to athletes, staff training and facility "stuff." Second guessing required the wine. All told this "inexpensive" Amavi Cellars Cabernet Sauvinaugh is excellent. For less than $20/bottle I see it is an excellent value and taste. It is a mix of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. Dry, tannic cherry taste at first and finishes round, lush and a terrific mouth feel. A lot of excellent wines can be had for <$20.00.

Best wishes for all to remain healthy and safe, Eric -

Having some Pre-Paddy Day Irish Whiskey tonight. A Cavanagh hat with some Kavanagh Single Malt Irish Whiskey, how about that..... ?

Was looking for some cheaper stuff at the liquor store so everyone wouldn’t drink my expensive stuff tomorrow night, and got a recommendation on this Kavanagh. Pretty dang good for $26 a bottle.

The nose was soft & fruity with hints of honey.

Relatively simple and smooth with no great complexity. I prefer Scotch, so all Irish Whiskey tastes a little simple and bland comparatively, but for the price, a nice enough enjoyable dram.

Same from here tonight. Ready for the big lockdown of 2020. Bars & restaurants have been ordered to only seat 25% of their normal occupancy until further notice.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day tomorrow to all!

To you too Jack.

We’re just having everyone over to our house and the Wife is cooking Bangers and Mash. Have plenty of Irish Beer, Whiskey, and music.

I just told everyone that no food colored Green Bud, Coors, or Miller is allowed. Drink real Irish Beer dammit !!!!!

Everyone enjoy and be safe.

Brewpubs that have a carryout license are allowed to provide curbside service so I'm going to have my 2 growlers filled tomorrow plus buy a 3rd growler on a holiday discount, hit the liquor store then hole up in the man cave.

Have a good one but be safe!

Curbside growler service; a first! Had to buy new growlers because they aren't allowed to bring in my growlers from the outside due to the virus. So now I'm growler poor! What a guy won't do for a little Irish Red Ale aged with Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Glad you were able to get it, HJ. If you lived here, you’d do without. No curbside or drive-thru alcohol purchases.
