They refinished it 2-3 yrs ago & put in more tap heads. The son of a friend of mine tends bar there a couple nights a wk. I've known him since he was about 7 yrs old so I try & get there when I can. Just doing my part to help the economy & redistribute the wealth.I like the hat, HJ but that is some bar top.
After yesterday's rework. The brim has plenty of flange in it & no amount of ironing was going to take much of that out. So after ironing I like it best with brim up. I opened up the front pinch a bit also. The Diamond is great but now with the brim up I'm tempted to go with a center crease. Coffee from Dunkin. In for a rainy day it looks like, so as soon as I finish my coffee I'm going to rework this older VS more to my liking. A great hat otherwise. The color is actually a medium gray.

Thanks DD. I'm going to study the blocking for a bit before deciding if I want to try a center crease. I keep thinking it could be like my BSHW, Gannon & one of my Worth - Walden's that I like so much.I agree, the brim up looks good!

Great work on this VS Jack. I really like that color, is it one of Art's specials like the dove gray? After yesterday's rework. Ahh, the old Glenlivet...At a favorite haunt for some excellent blackened catfish, dirty rice & hush puppies, & a few Bayou Brunette brown Ales from Cajun Brewing. Still wearing & deciding on the crown of this Limestone VS.

This is the last of the Glenlivet Founders Reserve (no age statement) that I bought to try for "bar stock" when it was on sale.Ahh, the old Glenlivet...
Talisker is might nice too.
A man's a man for a' that!Made a Whisky run to pick up the Robert Burns on hold, & grab a bottle of Glenfarclas before the sale ends today. Sales starting tomorrow will probably be Irish Whiskeys.

I think the Arran's Distillery reopened after being closed & laid down their first new Whisky in 1995. The Robert Burns hit the market in 2016 & sold out I was told, & I didn't get any. Been looking for some ever since.A man's a man for a' that!
Let me know how you like the Rabbie Burns whisky Jack, I'd never heard of it before. I do like the Island malts.
Irishes are good too.
