Definitely not as cute as Alan's grandbaby, but still kinda cute, (at least that's what my Mom told me, and who am I to argue with my Mom). This is me with my Mom about 38-40 years ago.

Lovely to see so many familiar faces without hats! Thanks to @Blare for pointing my attention to this thread!

These days I am almost never without a hat on my head, but when it’s off you can still see the last vestiges of my now woefully-thin mohawk.

Not nearly as radical as it was in my youth, but I was known for my hawk decades before I was ever known for my hats and it will always be the secret me that I keep tucked under the lid.

Thanks Nathan. It has been. We surely miss the ocean and going up down the Eastern Caribbean, but we are also enjoying where we are and having access to family.

And a very good rendition it is too, Jack. Back in my younger days, I also had a beard.

I grew it in my twenties after asking a doctor about a mole removal. It was in a prominent place on the right side of my face. The doctor said that although it wasn't proven, there were indications that mole removal could lead to the growth of cancerous cells. She added, "why don't you grow a beard?" "Because I had never thought about a beard," I replied and we both laughed.
