This came in on my phone last week, it was a gig that we were at about a week before the 2020 lockdown. Is it really two years?
We arrived in hats, I was sporting the lovely wide brimmed straw that Esther made for me.

Seeing the above photo made me wonder if I have ever worn a hat when on the dance floor. Tina tells me that I have, usually when in full vintage suit, the hat completes the attire. By and large though I/we, remain hatless when dancing.

Thank you, Robert and the hats do indeed look similar. Wonderful shot of the two of you (or should I say three?). To live up a bit to Tina's impression I trimmed the beard to make it less unkempt. That darn hair grows faster than you'd think!

On the What Hat Are You Wearing Today thread, Stefan comments on the need to keep a beard in trim. My reply was to empathise, having had a beard most of my adult life. Vanity lead me to shaving it off when it started sprouting white whiskers. So for the benefit of Stefan, and for anyone who loves Cocker spaniels, here's Rosie and me. I'm the one with the beard!

This past weekend Holiday festivities had us hosting a dinner with relatives. An exchange of small gifts found me with new glasses and a hat. Am I really like a little drummer boy? Hmmm.
