A Hat Well Loved

The stooped old man walked slowly by,
A battered fedora adorned his brow,
Into the sunset he ambled along,
The man, his hat, and a staff; as one.
All were relics of an age long past,
But the battered fedora, his ageless friend,
No passerby noticed its aged and worn shape,
But reckoned the hat and the man, as one.

Bravo Mr. Paladin. Frost could not have improved upon that and he knew a thing or two about old men walking into the sunset literally and metaphorically.
