Hey Gang! I did a search and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for! I'd like to get at least 1 hat suitcase, but I can't find anyone that currently makes or sells them. I've seen pictures of old ones, such as the one in this thread: Churchill Beaver But I can't seem to find any new ones. The place I go to in Detroit sells this one, Single Can, but I don't know if I like the hat sitting on the brim. Although, maybe it doesn't, I admit I've only seen pictures of the inside, I've never actually put a hat in one. So how about it guys? Any links to some nice hat suitcases that are for sale?

Thanks!

Dave

I don't know of anyone that makes hat cases like those old ones anymore. If it's for travel uses, Bencraft hatters have their own hat cans that look like an oversized top hat which work quite well.

In the hat can, the hat does not rest on the brim. There is an adjustable rest that fits to the sweatband. I have an older 2 hat suitcase that looks like a regular hat box inside with a ring to rest the 2nd hat on stacked inside the first. The ring keeps the crown of hat #2 off of hat #1. Haven't seen them in years tho. Check western wear catalogs.

These look unique... http://www.starkandlegum.net/hat-carrying-case.aspx

Here is an image of the inside of a hat can. The hat sits on a plastic
Stand inside the can so it does not sit on the brim.

The actual suitcase was part of the purchase
of the hat. This was done with the Stetson 100 and other
High end hats an was not sold separately at least as far as I know.

Thanks everyone! I'll check out those links! Good to know the had doesn't sit on the brim in those cans. That may be the "easiest" route for me since I work just around the corner from Henry the Hatter..

Thanks again!
