Hi all,

I've got five auctions going that might be of interest around here:

Resistol Ten Homburg, 7 3/8
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Res...251?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d134f84db
You have to love a classic hat like this homburg. Check out the pencil curl on this beautiful charcoal gray hat and the 1 5/8 black ribbon. With the tags and liner, this homburg dates to the late 40s. The hat has no mothing, no stains, and no smells. It really is a work of art.

5" center dent crown
7" across
8 1/4" front to back
23" circumference

Resistol Fedora, OR Style, 7 3/8
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Res...803?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d134f92bb
Thin ribbon? Bound edge? This vintage Resistol fedora clearly has Open Road envy! The hat is a delicious chocolate brown, and the 100% fur felt is just soft as you please. That's what 3x beaver gets you in a classic hat. There are a few water spots, but there are no moth nibbles and no smells to this lid. The sweat still has the label about Self-Conforming, too. This is a beautiful lid!

2 3/4" brim
5" crown as creased
7" across
8 1/4" front to back
23" circumference

Stetson Open Road Fedora, 7 3/8
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ste...324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d134fa07c
Look at this Open Road fedora! It's a 7 3/8 in a light tan/silverbelly with no spots, stains, mothing, or smells. The liner and the sweat are in great shape, with signs of wear on the sweat. The hat comes with a raw edge and lovely fedora crease. You will not believe the feel of this felt hat--it's like butter, but it still holds a crease.

2 1/2" brim
1 7/8" ribbon
4 5/8" crown as creased
6 3/4" across
8" front to back
22 7/8" circumference

Stetson OR, 7 1/4 3x Beaver
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ste...475?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d134f6a63
We have here a vintage Stetson Open Road in 7 1/4 in a light tan/silverbelly. The hat has some spots and a bit of mothing you can see in the pictures. The liner and the sweat are in great shape, and the hat has no odor. The hat comes with the original cattleman's crease in a 5" crown with a 2 1/2" bound brim. Inside, it's 7" across and 8 1/4" front-to-back with a circumference of 22 1/4". Own an American classic!

Stetson OR, 7 1/4 LO
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ope...462?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d134f760e
Take a look at this vintage Stetson Open Road in 7 1/4 LO in a light tan/silverbelly. The hat has spots you can see in the pictures, but it's nothing a cleaning won't solve. The liner is in great shape, and while the sweat shows some wear, it's still quite good. The hat has no odor. The hat comes with the original cattleman's crease in a 5" crown with a 2 3/4" bound brim. Inside, it's 6 3/4" across and 8" front-to-back with a circumference of 22". Get a great deal on an American classic!

I'd love to get your feedback, and if I can figure out how to do it (I'm still new to eBay), I'll throw in free shipping for Loungers. :)

I just purchased you stetson OR on ebay. I'm very excited and anxious to receive it. My grandfather always wore this hat when farming and I've wanted one since my way younger days. I was wondering why some ORs have 2 1/2" brims and others almost up to 3" brims. Thanks.

Hey Dusty,

Glad to have you, and congrats on the hat! Hat brooms are a style and preference question, really--some people love a real stingy brim, even under 2", while others love a big, wide brim. Narrower brims were really popular in the 60s, but you can find examples of stingy brims in many eras. That's about all, really!

For the Stetson OR fedora 7 3/8, I'll throw in a vintage stetson box for Loungers, too. It's not a match to the hat, but it's still a good Stetson box.

I also have a nice shipping/storage box I'll throw in for Loungers who want the Resistol homburg.

Cheers,
Aaron
