Hat Ribbons

Please excuse my vast ignorance on this subject.

I have a good vintage grey fedora that came with a black ribbon which now bores me.

Is there a visual resource on the internet that will allow me to look at such a hat with different color ribbons to decide what would look more interesting, and then to buy a ribbon? I understand how to arrange the bow and I understand how to sew them on.

No takers yet huh?

Ok well, I will take my best shot at this and hopefully tell you something you don't already know. A person can go two ways with this, the cheap or expensive. First off, most printers/digital cameras these days come with photo editing good enough to do a very basic job of what you have described to me. Second, a simple cad/3d modling software is the shazbot for changing object around and tweeking them, downside is that they are costly and not very easy to use. Please let me know if this was of any help, pehaps I can flesh out any other questions you may have.
My two cents

I haven't tried it Doran, but I believe the the Fedora Store uses software on their site that allows you to create a custom order from Beaver Brands. I assume ( maybe incorrectly) that you can do that there. The harder part is going to be getting the right ribbon. So a search & I think you can get ribbon at Manhattan Costume Supply? not sure about this one, thus the search for the terms. It might be Manhattan Wardrobe Supply.

If you happen to have a Canon Powershot camera, it may have a feature called "My Colors" which allows you to change colors right on the camera screen. First you take a picture, then you zoom in on the color you want to change, then take a picture of the color you want to change it to, and presto, you've got a blue ribbon (or a purple girlfriend- the possibilities are endless!)

Great advice, all. Thank you. I think I may just go to britex fabrics with my fedora and poke around. There's one in San Francisco. -- the no-tech solution, heh heh.

thanks again.
