Thanks for posting that. Other than a coupla-three references to Indiana Jones, I was at a loss as to what they were talking about. But I always like seeing the various processes used by the various hutmachers. Milano Hats down in Texas has a pretty cool video made for their retailers, to give 'em a better sense of what they're selling to the consumers.

I wasn't able to pick up much, other than the Indy references, which I don't understand, because they don't seem to sell any hats that are even similar to Indy hats. It's a nicely produced video though and I enjoyed watching it.

Oh, wow. I lived in Regensburg for about a year and I bet I passed that place 100 times. I even bought a hat there, one of the "mad bomber" style winter hats, none of which are on their website. I loved that hat.

They sell all types of hats at the store. The hats they make are mostly traditional but they are very well made. They mention IJ because of the boost it gave to the hat trade.

They don't just sell or make these type of hats. They mention IJ because it helped give the hat trade a boost. I posted the video because it shows the hat making process. They are master hat makers which is apparent from watching the video. They can make any style hat and are as accomplished as any hat makers (past or present) lauded on this board!

Using an online currency converter, the first hat linked by Kabuto would run 179 euros or $240.

They tend towards the higher range ($150 - $300). The weak dollar doesn't help. They also do not do online orders.

By the way the hats the poster mocked are beautifully made. The craftsmanship would be hard to match.

This one is 698 Euros made from vintage Siberian hare felt.

Form Bogart, Qualität flauschige Melousine (Langhaarvelour) mit breitem Ziegenvelourband und -einfassung, Innenfutter,Innenband aus Leder oder Baumwolle, dieser Hut wird aus einem über 40 Jahre alten Sibirischen Hasenhaarfilzrohling gefertigt, diese Qualitätstufe kann heute nicht mehr gefertigt werden, die Rohlinge sind damals noch vom Großvater importiert worden
