This has me wondering if perhaps we have some behind the scenes censorship going on here. I hope not. I'm fairly certain I originally typed "set some shit on fire". Sorry, but I've found the unfettered use of profanity to be an integral part of the hat maker's skill set.
Maybe....i got alittle bit spanked over that word awhile back. Used it in a story about my dad.
Too bad...was a good story! Ha

Sometimes certain words just fit and nothing else will quite do the job!!!

Brent - While it may not necessarily HAVE TO be the case, I find your statement to none the less be correct on some occasions. Usually when I get 7/8 of the way through a hat and make a mess of it, thus having to start over FROM SCRATCH. :(

On the upside, I've found that beaver fur felt makes excellent coasters.

oh man I didnt even know it even existed!!! do you know if it works well???
how helpful you are im so grateful!!
I've never used it, but I would think it could be cut into rounds, boiled, then while still hot, hand molded over almost anything that will give you a crown shape. I'm thinking at least 4 baby hats from a square yard of felt. If you decide to try it, I'd be most curious to see your results.
