It seems that the most popular proper hats are western/outback hats and some fedoras. Good that proper hats are still worn somewhere, unlike where I live.

The guy who took it posted it on the online site for a design magazine. He said there's more than one person sleeping (and I'm not sure he considered Thomas one of those). But he's got a list of various people and objects to find. But it's really amazing technologically. I think he called it a 1475 megapixel shot.

And not only the picture. I found more than 100 lids on the main platfrom on the capitol stairs (plus the small crowd in front of it). If I get it right, those were the VIP seats. As I skimmed the huge crowd in the right part of the picture, the number of hats significantly decreases.

I just spent some time going through that picture. Great! There's at least one very "perfect" looking Open Road style hat there, and a few very nice fedoras, too.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't look out of place, there! Or imagine the bunch of us, grouped, off in a corner, missing most of the speech whilst looking for nice hats...lol

I too noticed this. Its quite interesting, because at first I was pleasantly surprised at the number of dress hats within the crowd; certainly a higher percentage than I see on any given day.

The technology to take a picture such as this one is really cool. I'm still looking at this picture and finding new things each time.

I love being able to zoom in and out watching it come into focus being able to make out the expressions on individual faces furthest away ... amazing!
