On my recent travels in eastern Canada I found five unused United Hatters, Cap & Millinery Workers International Union pins. I'm keeping two, but the other three are up for trade if anyone's interested. One has a regular pin back and the other two have post and screw backs.

How do you attach these pins to the hats? Does the needle go all the way through the felt? If it doesn't, how do you handle the long needles that make the pin "hang" away from the ribbon?

I poked mine all the way through the felt. But then the backing fell off and I lost the pin.
