I thought Kevin McAndrew was a rare enough brand but I have never before seen a Panama straw McAndrew. After being assured by the seller it was indeed tagged 7 1/2 I snapped it up. MENS VINTAGE HAT 1950's
EUCADORIAN PANAMA HAT

Do you think perhaps it might date from prior to McAndrews being aquired from the UK, as it states "by appointment"... of course Cadbury bars say that too even though they are made by Hershey's on this side of the pond. [huh]

I don't know anything about McAndrew's hats (although I own one felt OR clone) but I have seen lots and lots of brands attached to Cuenca Panama hats over the years. It's pretty obvious that importing these relatively inexpensive and quick-to-make straws was commonplace for nearly all the regular hat companies and they would affix their logo and trimmings to then market to their customers.

I have a Kevin McAndrews beaver fifty that is a silver belly open road clone. Does anyone know when this hat may have been manufactured. Inside the sweat says name of style is Aberdeen
