I am missing quite a few former regulars. @Jonesy, @Robbie79, @Carlos840.
Perhaps you mean Jonesy86? Jonsey was only with us for two months back in 2005 and 2006.

Jonsey86 has had a couple of periods in which he was missing for about 6 months. He has now been gone 7 months, so it is time for him to reappear.

Carlos has logged in recently, so he is OK.

Robbie has been gone for 15 months, so we may not see him again. Normally an absence of that duration, portends a permanent absence.

Of course, Jonesy86. Thank you.

Hey Tom, thanks for the thoughts, apologies for not answering your pm.
I am all good and well, just somehow moved on to other things.

Up untill a couple years ago there was really nothing new going on in my life and because of that i ended up spending a lot of time thinking about leather jackets, they became an important part of my life and i spent far too many hours thinking about them and posting about them on TFL...

Brexit hapened, covid happened, i left London, had to start again in Belgium after 15 years in the UK.
I switched from being mostly a live musician to opening a recording studio, and that has basically replaced leather jackets as the thing that my mind is constantly obsessing about...
Nowadays i wake up thinking about microphones and preamps and new techniques to experiment with, rather than hides and patterns!

That, plus the fact that TFL was changing into something that i couldn't really relate to made me stop coming here on a daily basis...
I still check in sometimes, i still love leather jackets, but i don't think i have it in me to keep on posting about them...
I do miss TFL, but unfortunately i don't think the TFL i miss still exists.

Carlos, thank you so much for shouting out and also for the detailed report on your new ventures! Nothing better than doing what you love for a living. I will continue to miss your posts and your detailed assessments on all things leather, but I wish you the best of luck in your quests.

He’s on IG. I speak to him every now and then. I asked him about it and he said being on here was taking a lot of time and attention away from other things. He also said taking pics and posting was becoming tedious for him. But he’s still around and still wearing his awesome jackets.

That’s good to hear! He went at it hard and fast for awhile there and put together a pretty serious collection of jackets, jeans, and boots. His enthusiasm was contagious.

glad to hear, he is still enjoying them, maybe forum format for many younger generation is limiting, they don't get as many likes and followers as posting on IG. about taking and posting pics, I kind of relate to that especially after I lost my old phone and lost many of my previous evolution pics on my jacket.

He doesn’t post at all on IG, just follows a bunch of accounts.

Wow that’s a bummer, sorry to hear that.
