Nice caps. What makes Harris such a big deal. I have seen the name for years, but I don't get what makes it so special. Anyone have the skinny on this?

Harris Tweed is all hand woven at the weavers own home.

Pretty heavy stuff and it is the same as it was in the 1930's.

I'd like to see one on a head so I can get a clearer idea of the shape and size of the 8 piece.

That is grey. I wear a 7 1/2 or XL. This XL was very comfortable and would probably fit a 7 5/8 as well.

As an fyi, these do not have leather sweatbands but rather grosgrain. We searched very hard for somebody making these with leather sweatbands but couldn't find any.

Very nice looking cap indeed, at a rather nice price. Some poor bloke who recently posted on a different thread, bought a Borsalino 8 panel for $225.

Are they very heavy weight, Aaron? I love Harris tweed but if it's anything like my jacket, it's heavier than I want. I read on the Harris Tweed site they have fabric in different weights. Do you offer different weights?

We only have one weight and I would definately classify this as a fall/winter weight cap.

I'm not an expert on Harris Tweed so all I can say is that the fabric is woven in Scotland and the caps are made in the USA.
