Thank you for your undaunted dedication to your Country and your Corps. I am proud to be able to work with the world's finest fighting force on a daily basis. And I am lucky enough to have married one. God Bless and Long Live the Corps. Semper Fidelis!

Nashoba.

United States Marines have a very, very difficult job, a job most of us not only wouldn't or couldn't do, but shouldn't do. That's right - I said shouldn't.

They have to train to fight, kill and die like fanatics - without the luxury of fanaticism. They have to be ready to do this in the name of a society that ultimately does not believe in it - a nation consecrated, at its best, to other ideals.

They remind us not only that we tend to become like our enemies, but that in some ways we need to become like our enemies. They remind us of what it is easy to forget in a world of feelings and opinions and ideas: that everything, ultimately, depends on brute survival.

As long as we believe that the survival of a free and peaceful society depends on a razor thin line of obedient deadly force, we owe our respect to Marines, to the kind of people who become Marines, and to the kind of people Marines become.

Happy birthday & Semper Fi!

My good friend (my boyfriend's BEST friend) just deployed for Iraq last week. He went to Kuwait last year and is a Sgt. in the Marines. I miss him already.

As the years go by

I spent my Marine Corps time (66 to 69) operating a computer in Honolulu. Never saw combat, wasn't even in country in Vietnam. I had an easy time of it. But as the years go by, I'm more and more amazed that I was able to pass muster as a Marine, and let me tell you, as the years go by, the pride only gets greater and greater. I offer a salute to the young men and women of the Marine Corps who are serving in places they don't want to be right now. God bless you all.

Happy Birthday MARINES from an old Army NCO!

To All The Men and Women of the Armed Services,

Our Daddy is in the Marine Corps, and he taught us that we are all brothers and sisters, and because of that we have to take care of each other when we are hurt and keep each other laughing when we are happy, we wish we could clean your cuts with water, but we can't, so we hope to clean your cuts with love and prayer, especially the ones we cant see...

...happy birthday to the Corps.

Very many of my Citadel classmates went into the Corps and a few have paid the ultimate sacrifice. So best wishes to my brothers and sisters in arms in the USMC.
