I'm looking forward to this movie...I've been a Hank Sr. fans since I was a kid, growing up singing all his songs.

The wife and I just got back from vacation, where we re-traced the Last Ride of Hank and Charles Carr (his driver), from Knoxville, TN up to Oak Hill, WV, along Highway 19. I took lot of photos of the various locations where they supposedly had Hank's last meal, the SkyLine Drive Inn where Carr supposedly realized Hank was dead, and the site of the now-gone Pure Oil station, hospital and morgue in Oak Hill, where Hank finally ended his Last Ride. It was a lonely road, that one.

I've got pics, if anyone is interested (I just didn't want to hijack this thread, without asking). ;)

That Hank hat looks pretty darn good to me. I replicated one for myself a couple of years back from the same photo by putting that crease in an open crowned OR 25. . Too bad I can't pull of that long lean look...

I've been a Hank Williams fan all my life. Not much choice really as my Dad raised me on his music from before I can even remember. I saw a Hank Jr. show back in the early 80's, and also saw Hank Sr's original Drifting Cowboys in concert around that same time frame. Hank Sr. was a great talent who unfortunately was beset with demons that he just couldn't conquer.

I got this at a flea market over 20 years ago. One of these days I'm going to get around to having it framed.

Just catching on to this thread, the hat Major made for Tom Hiddleston is superb.

What a great poster, Dale, I'm living in Canton OH right now, his intended "final destination" until he got hijacked to that Grand Ole Opry in the sky.

That is way cool Perry. I'm at the other end of the spectrum, his childhood home, Georgiana, AL is a couple hours drive from me, and Montgomery, where he first rose to fame and his final resting place, is right down the road, maybe an hour's ride. There is an excellent museum there which has on display, among other things, the Cadillac he was riding in when he died. Apparently Hank Jr. drove that car to high school every day.

That would be interesting to see.
