Weirdly, Joaquin Phoenix wasn't born with a cleft lip. It is purely a birth mark. I was quite surprised. My son was born with a cleft lip and I wondered how they got Joaquins repair looking so good.
Anyway, mystery solved.

I am swooning over Gavin Rossdale again.. I am repeating a teenage crush!! Anyone was a Bush fan?
Ah yes - something about the scruffiness just does me in. And he can sing...which is always a plus!

I am all about the Gene Kelly. For those of you who feel the same, here is one of my fave pics:

I also like Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Johnny Depp, Elvis Presley, Chris Isaak.

Gene is absolutely dreamy!

I'm personally a big fan of Lee Pace's classic style on Pushing Daisies:

I'm also a big fan of John Krasinski's look in Leatherheads:

I've noticed a trend-- the men on my list all have that clean-cut and put-together thing going for them. That's what I'm really attracted to. I really like that last look of John's-- the sweater with the button-up and tie. It's always been a favorite look of mine for the fellas to sport.

Oh my!

Where has this thread been all my life? Such a collection of gorgeous men! My contribution is Mr. Nicholson. He's been my dream man since well, forever. He's got a smile for days.

A few I forgot...

I've been a fan of Howard Keel and John Wayne for just as long as I can remember:
I love Howard in Calamity Jane, Kiss Me Kate, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He's just so darn charming:

I think John Wayne was at his handsomest in The Quiet Man:

As for modern men, I think Chris "Ludacris" Bridges is handsome as all get out, and so charming to watch. When he's on screen, I just can't take my eyes off of him!

I also ADORE Jared Leto, even back when I was 5 and watching My So-Called Life with my older cousins. He's got such beautiful features and is so talented!

Here he is in 1940's gear in a scene from How To Make an American Quilt (some implied love-making at the end of the scene, but no nudity or vulgar images)

One more from me today: I confess, I have a massive crush on Buster Keaton.

Out of all the other actors Buster is ranked my number one! I don't know what it is. Sometimes I think its because after all the girls have flocked over to others he would be the one left behind. Just a thought.

Did anyone else find the boy-on-boy thing in the Brideshead Revisited remake INCREDIBLY hot? I was so disappointed when Charles started going for Julia instead of Sebastian!

I don't know if you guys from the UK have been following Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the Stars in the US) this series, but Tom looked very swish last week in his 30's 'gangster' suit and brylcreeme'd hair! (well i thought so!) . Plus he was off to get married the next day and he's had to postpone their honeymoon to take part in Strictly!!

As for well loved movie/TV stars I don't think you can beat Leslie Phillips for his sheer and unapologetic charm. Also his voice does it or me every time! especially when he utters his famous lines of 'Ding Dong' and Helooo!

Here he is as a rather dapper patient with a bunion in Carry on Nurse along with a rather good looking Kenneth Williams (playing the surgeon) another unmistakable voice!

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VfnekKiKCTc

and he's still rocking in his 80's!
here he is with comedian Rob Brydon who wantts some tips from the Master of Ladykillers!

I'll stop whaffling now!!

Looks like I have to see that one!

I Loved Michael Pitt in "the dreamers" and Alain Delon in "Plein soleil", especially the clothes he wears made him look REALLY good ;)

Naama, I agree about Alain Delon in "Plein Soleil"! I can also recommend Joseph Losey's "Monsieur Klein" in which Delon plays a jew in early 1940s Paris --> amazing outfits.

Come to think of it, Alain Delon looks a lot like my childhood crush, Mårten Harket of A-Ha :)

After watching The Day the Earth Stood Still, I'm going to have to put a vote in for Michael Rennie.

And of course, Mr. Blackie Norton:

And can't forget:

And then I went to go see Hitman (don't ask...) with some friends and thought Timothy Olyphant looked rather nice.
