Does anyone else do this??

At bedtime I smother my hands in Nivea Soft and give them a good rub and massage, then I put my cotton gloves on and go to sleep and wake up with gorgeous feeling hands!

Anyone else do this??

PS: Lucky I am single, between the oil cleansing and the moisturized face, and my hair in my foam rollers with the net over the top and my cotton gloves - I must look a sight last thing at night!!

I'm sadly lacking in cotton gloves (or indeed any gloves), but I've discovered trainer socks work just as well. Although I'm sure most of you lovely ladies are far to elegant to have trainer socks.
What can I say, I'm new to vintage - I'll improve!

I use Dove Rich Creme - it's too greasy to use in the mornings on any part of my body, but I use it at night on my hands and feet which drink it up like crazy.

I tried it a few years back, but I just couldn't get into the feeling of sleeping with gloves on. Foot cream and booties aren't so bad, though.

I do this...although not every night.

I generally use heaps of Neutrogenas Norwegian formula stuff..its way more then they suggest for daytime use...but its a gloppy not super fast absorbed texture...so works better in my opinion then just a regular creme for leaving on overnight.

Although I am prone to ripping them off halfway through night.

The gloves are off...

I just can't bear sleeping in them! But Senor 1929 and I have a hand cream ritual where we put it on and massage each others hands...

I do this with my feet, but I've never tried it on my hands at night. I ride horses and my hands get a callous every now & then, so I should try this. This is probably a silly question but where can I find a pair of cotton gloves? I just can't think on anywhere I've seen them in a store.

Thanks for the tip, Miss Neecerie! I've tried the glove thing before with jojoba oil and it just never worked for me because it was light enough to just all get absorbed by my gloves. I tried the Neutrogena last night and noticed a difference after a single night.

I've read that advice but not tried it yet. Am considering it. Do it with socks already, I mean over my feet. Erh...good morning! I apply cream to my feet and then sleep with socks on. Good morning again!:)

I've never found it to work all that well with my feet, but my feet are a horrible, calloused mess (thanks, roller derby!). After only 2 days with the Neutrogena on my hands, though.... ! I've been using socks because I don't have appropriate gloves. I kind of like it - it's like sleeping with mittens on and keeps my hands warm now that it's getting very cold here!

I might also get a tube of the Neutrogena as well!

As for my feet - because I like to go barefoot everywhere, mine too were a mess. I bought a Hawley foot buffer and I love it! My feet are smooth and soft now. Unfortunately I hate wearing socks to bed, I either kick them off before I get to sleep or during my sleep! So I am not sure how to go about the foot one!

Usually I wake up with my gloves still on, but the other morning I woke up lying on my side with my gloves next to me right in front of my face; I must have sub consciously (unconsciously?!) taken them off during the night lol

For a cheap & plentiful alternative to an expensive lotion/cream - just use good ole Vaseline. (Oooh, and it's vintage, too.) ;)

I love Vaseline for my cuticles! when i can be bothered, I rub vaseline into them first, then coat with my Nivea and gloves!

Apparently Marilyn Monroe used to put Vaseline around her eyes which is how she made them glow!
