Halfbelts and shoulder gussets - is that a thing?

Hi folks,
I am in the process of finalising my halfbelt with Greg Field and prefer a clean back AND an easy to wear leather jacket, so I am wondering if shoulder gussets and halfbelts go together well.

Probably everything has already been done in the world of jackets , but didn't manage to find an example of a vintage or vintage inspired halfbelt with shoulder gussets.

Is that a thing or an abomination?

Thedi Hektor/MTC-127915 and Bill Kelso Duke (both based off the same historical design) feature half-belt and shoulder gussets, if you want to google those two.

If you want action pleats, shoulder gussets or back pleats, then get them. Make mobility a lot better while still fitting slim.

His Chicago pattern has underarm gussets if you’re looking for something more subtle.

Eastman Californian also has an action back. My half belt that I'm making with Greg will 100% have an action back as well

All my custom Aero HB's had gussets and a single point rear yoke. Beautiful combo IMO.
