I would love to pull the trigger too but will wait to order something else until the two that I have already ordered (#1 The Heavy and #19 The American) have arrived to see how the straight fit in my size works and see if I might then go with the slim fit for the next.

I'm really digging the Okayama! It looks really nice, it also looks quite similar the my classics which is not that surprising considering it comes from the same mill.

Here are some pics of my Classics Laid on top of my one week old Heavy Americans to show what four and a half months of heavy wear looks like. The denim is still in fine shape and fades are starting to come in nicely.

Lookin' good Matt! I've worn my HA every day since I get them.

BTW, anyone wear a 33" waist??? I have a new pair in that size up for grabs.

Thanks! I wore my HA for the better part of a week, but then put them on the shelf, I had some really long work days in a row, and decided to prioritize comfort over breaking in new denim. I actually wear a 33 waist. Whatcha got?

Hello everybody, first post here on the Fedora Lounge, after lurking on & off for a while. I'd like to start by thanking mattface for the $20 coupon I used to place my first order with Gustin (Natural Indigo2). A second order has also been placed (Black2) and I anxiously await them to check on size, etc. before I place more orders, tempted though I am by the Okayama Standard!

I'd say it's the most popular denim I've seen on Gustin so far. It went up 6-ish GMT, and the first run was done by 4am. The second run's already more than a third there.

I think the only rival was the grey silk. It was gone before i even had a chance :p

I managed to get seduced by these....I'll post about them when I get them! Supposedly in November....

So far, I have the Black ones, the Light Italian, the Rainbow Nep, and the Deep Indigo and Grey Silk on order. I have to admit the Gustins are my favorite jeans, and I'm happy to have them. Was nervous about the fit, etc., but they really worked out for me.

I can post pics of any of these if anyone wants. I also got a belt.

We're in for a nice surprise, who knows when, soon-ish hopefully..... loopwheeled sweatshirts

heres some stuff i found regarding loopwheeling, more can be found out at: http://www.loopwheeler.co.jp/

I guess to put it simply, loop-wheeled sweats and Ts age much more gracefully (& slowly) IMO.

about 75% of brands that say their fabric is "loopwheeled" are either flat out lying or don't know what loopwheeling is.
The machine itself is quite rare, extremely slow, and is finicky in the way it works. True loopwheeled fabric is extremely strong, soft, and can be very very heavy.

Flat Head seems to own a chunk of whats left of those rare machines

also, heres a short video on a collab between loopwheeler x nike

loopwheeled t-shirt and sweatshirts seem to go for a absurd $200+ via Flat Head

just a little research ive done, please add anything i've missed

As always heres a 20$ GUSTIN store credit link: https://www.weargustin.com/invite_from/4747

I can't get excited about the sweatshirts because I know the largest they'll make is about a size I wore in junior high.
However, thanks for the cool info on the loopwheel. Interesting indeed.

Chris, I'd appreciate it if you could post some shots of the Rainbow Neps. I'm on the long line for them, but I've only seen the two shots on the "Store" site.

Will do-give me a few days. My current plan is to wear them with the cuff rolled up, and then will likely hem them when they're worn in, and washed at least once.
