Great Grandpa's Hat

I need some help with this, I hope you might be able to help. My great grandpa (1888-1964) was the only other major male hat wearer in the family besides me. I've seen photos of him wearing fedoras, flat caps and newsboy caps. My grandma as you can see was fond of pill-box hats. I took some screen-caps from this 8 mm home movie from June 1963 and I was wondering if you can tell me whether his lid is either a homburg or a fedora. I can't tell:

Looks like a Center Crease Fedora to me, with a fairly stingy brim.

Yeah... looking at the crown, it's bashed like a homburg, and looks to be black or dark blue, which fits, since homburgs are/were more formal. However, it's got a snap-brim, so I think it's a fedora. Sort of a fine line between the "stuffiness" of a homburg and the "nonchalance" of a fedora. He's got the best of both worlds -very sharp looking!
