Funny that this topic would come up... A few days ago I went down to DC to visit a friend (photographer for the Dept. of Justice). Quite hidden from the public are scores of depression-era murals through-out the entire building that was built in the early 30s. There's lots of art deco design everywhere, also. It's too bad so few people can see these.

The building is basically all offices. There's no museum inside for tourists. I suppose at one time anyone could just walk in and look around. Since the Attorney General works out of this building security is now pretty tight. Having a friend on the 'inside' made it pretty easy to get in and wander about (the AG's office was the only room off limits).
