Grand Opening - The Fedora Chronicles

I wanted to share this when there was more on-line, but to lighten the blow of the loss of Christopher Reeves I thought that I should make something good come of today.

I’ve started a new website to celebrate the Golden Era and offering a venue for those members of COW and The Fedora Lounge to post articles that may not fit with-in the constraints these forums. Anyone wishing to post an approprate article who’s subject matter is any aspect of The Golden Era or current events and how they releate or even differ with that period of the Worlds History are welcome to do so.

I have a handful of people who have offered to write regular collumn’s, and I will also have a section for members of these forums to inform readers of Local Issues and events in their area. I’m also welcoming Reinactors to post links to their groups and vendors on The Fedora Chronicles.

When I do the morning Update on The Fedora Chronicles, I search the Internet looking for news stories that might interest you guys to supplement the site between articles written by my incredible staff…

What do you guys think of this? What news stories would you like to see each day? What other subject do you want to see covered?

I’m trying REALLY hard to make this the “CNN/FOXNews� for you guys, the first news website you check out every day and give the forums something new to talk about. I want to make this something unique and special for you folks. What’s missing, what needs to be filled by The Fedora Chronicles that isn’t yet?

Maybe I've gone about this the wrong way. Instead of saying: "Here it is!" I should have asked: "What do you guys and gals want?"

If you were to start a newspaper or news-site, where would you start?

What kind of news stories would you want to see?

What topics would you like to see covered?

What would you like to see every morning on your door stop?

Sure, since I started that for you guys, I want to know what you want to see. Do you guys like seeing the WWII, Film Noir, Jazz and Swing music, and other news items everyday?

The approach I have with this question is not asking only what I want, but what you guys want. I want this to be your CNN/FOX. What news items intrest you?

Just to be sure everyone understands, I don't want to duplicate the efforts of IndyGear, The Indy Experience or The Fedora Lounge with my question.

What would aficionados of "The Golden Era" and World War II like to see in their news every morning?
