Nice one, Doc. You know a little company in Melbourne called Wieden was making jackets like that (with period lining and labels) right up until the late 1980's. They looked just like jackets from the 1960's. Wieden is long gone...

A quick Google reveals Lasica's made leather RAF pattern leather flying helmets for the RAAF during WWII.

I think these vintage 3/4 length jackets make great riding jackets for spring and fall cooler temps (on my beautiful Bonneville ). I've snagged a couple of nice ones on ebay for cheap. One is heavy horsehide 50's German make $65 and the other an American jacket made in the 70's, purchased new, and promptly put away for 35 years = $60.00
* Classic 5 inch deerhide gauntlets are a must.
