Got buttons?

I am seeking a set of buttons for this wonderful 1930's Lilli Ann Suit Jacket I own. (Yes, there is a matching skirt and yes it's gaberdine because someone always wants to know what they are looking at).

I need a set of 1" buttons, at least 8, but would consider purchasing your spares too. Maybe some black Czech glass buttons?

Color of jacket is black. Please PM me with quantity, image and price. This is a piece from my permanent collection that I've never worn!

I'll post it over in the men's section in Suits as well as the Powder Room with the deco Lilli Ann label in case someone needs reference material.

Thanks!

You lookin' for fabric buttons, cap buttons? I like the originals, cant you grab a piece of hem and make another cover for the lost one? :)

Ill look and see what I have. Anything for you VB :)

I only found these 6

I found some orange ones. The color is pretty close to the actual color. Maybe a little darker in real life.

i'm with LD, the jacket is so interesting on it's own, it doesn't really need anything too fancy. it might actually detract from it

Sorry for not replying to this in a while. I accidentally hit the "unsubscribe from all threads" link. Oops.

Anyway, here goes:

Thank you, Lady Day! I can't seem to figure out how to disasemble and re-assemble this button without ruining it. Anyone want to do it for me? I'd be happy to pay a fixit fee.

Thank you Hotrod elf! I was really hoping for Black Czech glass though...

Thank you olive bleu for your opinion! I will keep your sage advice in mind.

And yes KittyT, I've looked for a while, but only seem to find buttons in singles or up to 6 in what I want.

Anyone??

Not sure about that style, but I know taht they still make the buttons designed for fabric. Can this style still be found. If not, maybe a complementary color similar fabric and a whole set of buttons made from the kits.

I recently saw a huge barrel of older buttons at a local antique mall...next time I'm there, I'll dig around and see what I can find for you! :)

How sweet! Thank you for thinking of me, Mr. Johnnysan!
