Goodyear 1933 Werber

After two years of waiting, it finally here.

The jacket is made with Italian HH, super nice leather, lots grain, soft, correct thickness, I just love it. John used vintage snap on the jacket, and a retro hockless zipper, I have to say, the zipper is not very easy to use.

As for the fit, I gave John all my body measurements and let him do all the rest. The jacket is a bit longer than I like an A2 to be, but not too bad.

It looks lovely in itself, but I would say it looks about 1.5" to 2" too long on you. Not sure if I could like with that.

Looks great, in re the length, it hits you about the same as my original Aero A-2. If you look at WW2 era pics, some of the lengths are longer than some of the stock repro things being made today. Those high waisted jackets can really throw one's body proportions off sometimes. I think its a total keeper. Looks like some room for layering as well.

Beautiful jacket. I have had A-2s that are too long and others that are too short. I definitely prefer to err on the longer side now and I think that yours looks great!

Looks really nice to me. I'm not terribly into the A-1 and A-2 styles but I have to admit I've rarely seen one that doesn't look damn good. Yours is no exception. Well done!

Don’t know about originals but yours looks great in length. But after all it’s you who has to feel comfy in it. It’s way too much money, if you just don’t feel comfortable in it.

Beautiful hide. As Mark said, photos of WWII airmen show a variety of fits. Yours looks like the QM was a buddy from civvy street who threw you the best quality jacket he could find! It's roomy enough for layering without being too big.

I am not a tall guy (5'5 only) so normally I prefer a short jacket. But after wearing it for few hours, I changed my mind on this jacket, its comfy, and the extra lenght and room makes it more vintage IMO. Love this one.

BTW, your original Aero A2 is that long? I always think Aero contracts are short and roomy.

Beautiful jacket. Regs length, I say... perfect! The sleeves will crease up a bit over time and shorten a touch. With wear, the jacket will find a way to mould to you, and as was said above, better a touch longer than a touch short.

Classic A2! I could see you running toward a B-17 on a gray misty morning, or reviewing maps in a quonset hut at night, in that jacket. As to the length - it looks short enough that you can walk around with your hands in your pants pockets, and it looks long enough that it will cover the top of your belt in the back when you sit down. So I'd say you nailed it.

You're going to be walking around in a piece of history (the design) and a work of art. Get rid of all your other jackets. Live life in this one.
