Here's a nice, lightly broken in Good Wear A-2, and without the multi-year wait.

Leather is a soft, supple, and broken in nicely, russet veg tanned horsehide. Waldes zipper. Mid-brown wool knits, in excellent condition, Mid-brown cotton thread. Direct attached collar.

Tagged size 46, but it's a snug 46, I wear a 42-44 and can wear this. See photos for measurements.

I don't want to rain on your parade and all, but that is a steerhide Diamond Dave Cable jacket--chrome tanned, aniline dyed. How do I know? I ordered it new from Diamond Dave in 2015, then resold it about a year later on the VLJ site. It went through a couple of people, and last I saw it sold in April on eBay from Distinctive Footwear.

You can see the discussion regarding the Distinctive Footwear sale here: https://www.vintageleatherjackets.org/threads/distinctivefootwear-cable-a-2.22719/

Here's the jacket when I sold it: https://www.vintageleatherjackets.o...r-cable-raincoat-41-10008p-a-2-size-46.18971/

And here's the jacket when it was new: https://www.vintageleatherjackets.o...amond-clothing-co-cable-a-2-42-10008-p.18314/

Great jacket and some days I wish I still had it, but it is neither horsehide, nor a Good Wear jacket.

Final follow-up on this item, I went back to the seller I purchased this from, distinctivefootwear, and pointed out the misidentification on the maker, providing the information given to me by @Juanito . Distinctivefootwear apologized and accepted a refund, without hesitation, even though it was about 3 months after purchase. Seller stood by their authenticity guarantee, and has sold me several jackets in the past year that were good. Would recommend and use them in the future.

It's on Ebay today... it sold for $433.88 in April, so it will be interesting to see what it sells for this time..

I am guessing right at $300.

It is a great jacket with first rate workmanship if you can get past the finish of the jacket wearing off with a light touch.

Contrary to the EBay listing, this was NOT "made to look broken in" or with the "combat clone" treatment Diamond Dave was offering. The aniline finish is so very thin to the point that just about any friction wears it off, and that was the reason I sold the jacket in the first place.
