Good late 50s-mid 60s fedora/stingy brim films?

What are some good films produced between around 1956 and 1964 that feature either a main character wearing a fedora or stingy brim, or a lot of fedoras in general? I'm thinking sort of the Man in the Gray Flannel Suit Kennedy, Mad Men era-but films actually produced in the period. Sort of like the change from the Golden Era culture, Eisenhower 50s, to the Kennedy/Mad Men years.

The classic Hitchcock films of the period like Vertigo, North by Northwest, Marnie, etc. all come to mind. Some excellent French films as well like Riffifi, Elevator to the Gallows, as well. The 'last classic film noir' Touch of Evil. The first couple of Bond films with Connery. For modern stuff set in the period, the style and atmosphere of In the Mood for Love and its weaker sequal 2046 have Toney Leung in some very sharp early 1960s suits (Maggie Cheung and Zhang Ziyi are delicious in those cheongsam dresses!), and Far From Heaven is beautifully costumed as well. Stanly Tucci in Big Night also does this period well, and also the British cop series Jericho was had a great late 1950s look.

I love the style of this period!

The Detective staring Frank Sinatra is from 1968. It seems like all of the main characters are wearing nice stingy brim Fedoras.

I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid, but doesn't Jack Lemmon wear a stingy in "Notorious Landlady" w/ Kim Novak?

We see him in a stingy-brim fedora and in a bowler ("the Young Executive model") in a couple of scenes in "The Apartment," too.

Rent a number of films from that time frame and you will get a sound understanding of the cultural shift.
