There's a few locations for Arizona Hatters, the one I've been to is on 2790 N Campbell Ave. They cater to the cowboy hat crowd, but I did pick up a nice Stetson felt fedora there once.
Tucson is hot. Opportunities to wear felt are when it cools off significantly, so you generally see only straw. Again, cowboy hats are big out here, but I have seen people wearing more hats (stingy brim) recently than in past years.
We used to be the HQ of Pantropic Hats, but they moved out of town a few years ago. Their old location is now a McDonalds distribution warehouse.
Thanks, I'm gona be in Tucson next week, I'll be needing something to browse at when not in confrence. I will be wearing a Panama straw Stetson BTW, if it was winter I would be wearing an Akubra.
It's monsoon season here, take care that you don't let your hat blow off or get soaked... it can go from sunny to downpour in seconds. The storms usually form in the afternoon.
When I know it's risky I wear my Joe Fedora, nothing will hurt the synthetic straw.
