I will also check out the Double Helix shop in Osaka.

Maybe grab one of these if I can't find that Colimbo jacket:

Their vests are pretty cool too. For sure I'd like to grab one if they have some in stock.

They interestingly have sizes up to 48 which is great! This one speaks to me :)

I don't know if it's the picture or what but their chariot model looks off to me
It does look off because it looks too big on the model with the front opened looking like the huge panels are ready to flap around and it proves once more that you really can't wear this type of jacket unzipped. It looks closer to the straight cut J-31 than the tapered fit Centinela.

Yes it looks way to big on their model

The coronavirus outbreak in China which has now landed in Japan has me and my wife a bit worried. I am on week #3 of the flu which led to pneumonia and don't want to get ill again since I am still dealing with a fever. We go in about 3 1/2 weeks so maybe I am being paranoid.

Thank you Ralph. Just what I was looking for with all of the brands I want to look for. I will check this place out since it is right near where we are staying in the Namba district.

Size 40 may be tricky so we'll see what I can dig up.

My wife is also after a nice leather jacket but I think finding her something new or used in women's sizing may be difficult.

Take care. I have always had the feeling that those of us who were born and raised in tropical climate are more adapted to the flu and cold virus. Never needed more than a couple of days to recover from cold or flu when I was living in England and the States but then I was young and in my prime.
I remember my friend came and visited me in LA and we went to Vegas for a weekend. I came down with a fever the night before and was all drowsy during the drive to Vegas. Arrived at Vegas, took a nap and woke up fresh and hungry. Went to dinner fully recovered. Came back Sunday night then school exam on Monday LOL.

It is strange but I don't usually get sick. My wife is a teacher so she is around snotty kids all day and am surprised I don't get sick that much.

Lately I seem to get sick once every two years but I get absolutely hammered and seem to get ill for a couple of weeks then nothing for another two years. No small colds. It seems to be all or nothing with me these days. The flu kicked my butt this year.

There is a darn good chance we may have to cancel the trip. I just can't seem to shake this bout of pneumonia. I am up one day and feel great then the next I feel feverish again and have that sick body buzz feeling.

This is so frustrating. Going to see my regular Dr this coming Friday so I hope it was just a case of the Dr at the walk in clinic I went to, prescribing me the wrong antibiotic. My regular Dr is impossible to get an immediate appt with so I had to go to a walk in clinic a couple weeks back.

I certainly hope I get this sorted since I've been wanting to see Japan ever since I was a kid.

I wish you a full recovery... and more importantly in good time!

Thanks guys.

I'd hate to be not feeling well there and I think they are screening people for body temp/fever when you come in due to the coronavirus hysteria, so the last thing I want is to be turned away when we land in Tokyo. That would be a serious bummer. We have until Feb 2 to be able to cancel our flights and get our cash back so I don't have much time. Especially since my Dr appt isn't until Jan 31 so it does not leave me much time to get feeling better.
