Glaring Film Gaffs! (Or: The Dry Look in 1917?)

You aught to read the gaffs in films set in the medieval period that I see on an armour board I belong to.
Oh wow, you're here, too? Small world!

Annnnd on that note, I was going to mention every film set prior to 1500 or so, but I seem to have been beaten to it! (And if anyone here can prove the aforementioned statement wrong, I'll buy you a pint. But only if I can find a copy of the movie on DVD at an affordable price!)

Movies from the 1940s that took place during WWI would often have uniforms correct but the leading ladies would have 1940s frocks and hair, i.e. "The Hoodlum Saint".

In Gone With The Wind, the scene were the men come back from the raid on Shantytown with the injured Ashley shows Melanie picking up one of the lamps to lead her husband to the bedroom. You can clearly see the electric cord of the lamp running down her arm.
