World War Two Royal Canadian Air Force Women's Division recruiting poster:

RCAF_WD_Recruiting.jpg

Numerous Canadian fly boys helped defeat the vile Nazis, serving in both our own Royal Canadian Air Force as well as in the Royal Air Force. It was my pleasure to have known some of these men, who variously flew Lancasters & Halifaxes for Bomber Command, as well as Spitfire fighter planes. Sadly they've all since joined their young comrades who never returned home to their loved ones.

Like other combatant nations, Canada had auxiliary formations of women who aided their respective service branches on the land & seas as well as in the air.

Women wearing women’s uniforms is different than women wearing men’s. Not in any way to disparage the many women who contributed to the fight against fascism my wife’s mother was in the waves and both of our fathers served in WWII.

Here are a few more pics of women in men’s uniforms these I think are occupied France the girls are mainly just wearing their boyfriends tunics ( and sometimes not much else)

Not sure the clothes need to be tailored to fit or even fit at all

Nothing was sexier than Sylvia Trench in Bond’s pajama top and that didn’t come close to fitting

I agree, but think that's a different thing. Yes, it can be very sexy when a woman tosses on some of her "boyfriend's" clothing in a haphazard - for some reason  I found myself in need of some extra clothing options - way. Sometimes I think God only invented the men's Oxford cloth button-down shirt for just such situations.

But if the look is planned out - as in the photo in my post - I think the clothes do need to be tailored to fit the woman. Otherwise, they look off and forced - more like a costume than an outfit the woman "owns" and is comfortable wearing.
