I thought this lady had a very interesting face, so I did a search on her as I had no idea who she was. Got to her website, had a look at her spring summer catalog, not at all my cup of tea. But when I got to her winter one - wow! I'd like to buy at least 3/4 of what's in there. I'm so impressed with the whole aesthetic of that catalogue. I remember once watching a documentary on beauty and they talked at length about the science behind our perceptions of beauty, ie. faces that are split into even thirds and in certain angles are perceived more beautiful than others. They compared thousands of faces' data and concluded that Liv Tyler was in fact the most beautiful woman in the world, at least according to her facial proportions. I also find her voice really appealing.

I'm afraid I have no modern crushes at all. Just seems as though something is gone from modern stars, that every vintage star had.
As for the vintage crushes, Ava Gardner and Gene Tierney just take my breath away.

Same here - girl crushes, guy crushes...I do joke that everyone I have a crush on is dead. Only that it's the truth. (Just to clarify that it's not because they're dead that I have crushes on them!)

When I first saw the title of this, I couldn't think of anyone but now I've got a list!
1. I died my hair red because of Rita Hayworth. She was just so fabulous looking.
2. I get told I look like Kate Winslet at lot, which to me is the HUGEST compliment, though I don't see it myself.
3. I will watch any movie with Queen Latifah in it. She just has this glow about her.
4. Jennifer Saunders is my girl crush of the moment. So pretty, so funny, and not so vein that she can't be ugly/ridiculous/not center stage. Plus, she can impersonate literally anyone. I hope her battle with breast cancer is going well; far too lovely a woman to leave so soon.

I also love the character of Scarlett O'Hara. She was really tough when it came down to it.

I also really admire Gracie Allen. She was extremely funny, but perfectly poised and graceful at the same time. She was also known as the nicest woman in show business.
No wonder George loved her so much.
