Need to supply a little music for a new bar in Belfast City Centre.
Very Golden Era.
Maybe a bit Jazzy
A touch Film Noire-ish
A smidgin of Moulin Rouge-y
And a fair old dollop of good old fashioned camp.

Open to playlist suggestions.

Where is it?

What themes and decor on the walls, seats/tables, drinks...etc?

Is this in the Cathedral Quarter? where abouts is it? (as I'll pay a visit when I'm over in July (if not before) and I'm sure Edward will pop his head in too.

I used to go to The Empire in my younger days, then when Cafe Vaudeville took over the old bank, I will often be found in there when I'm over in the Province.

When is the opening?

Right, for music...anything from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Sinatra, Duke Ellington; Tommy Dorsey; Artie Shaw; American Songbook music..etc

Called 'Muriels' - It's the former Nicholl/Glass Jar, church lane down beside the Hi-Park Centre. Already 'soft' opened.

French themed. Decor is lots of red velvet, photos of era stars & fashions... And err... Milinery items (fits with the 'Fedora' theme here I suppose!).

They also serve cocktails in jam-jars!!!

It is quite a camp hang-out, and expect the clientele will be also.

I love it mind you.
