gibson barnes jacket

i want to get a a-2 jacket for my father xmas he is a size 38 gibson barnes told me to get a size 36 i wonder if it will fit i hate returning things pain and cost money now i ilve in boston gibson barnes is in cailf. anybody here knows how there jacket runs. every jacket company runs diffdernt thanks kojax

I'm surprised by that advice - but it must be right given it's from them. I have 2 G&B's and they are sized pretty much dead on. Don't have an A2 so they must be sized large from what they are saying.
