gibson+barnes a-2 jacket

i want to get my father a gibson barnes a-2 for xmass the jacket is a type a-2 mark31 veg tanned goatskin russet. what do think of the jacket and color price is 628.00

I have one....

I'm not really sure if it's historically accurate or not....that's not something I really get my head wrapped around.

Bottom line, it's a very nice jacket.

just wondering how the color would be.....all my a-2 jackets are dark never had a russet horsehide or goatskin........thank you people
