I stopped at a moving sale this afternoon, and picked up an Original Ghurka Bag, No 23 "The Associate"... beautiful leather and canvas. For $10.

Had a glance at them, and while they're too rich for my blood, I'll give you this. They're far less expensive than the crap that Hermes and Louis Vuitton tries to pass off as fashionable accessories, and way, WAY nicer.

I hate Louis Vuitton and Hermes...so hideous. Why anyone would want to pay so much for a dead cow's hide is beyond me.

Until yesterday, I hadn't really heard of Marley Hodgson or Ghurka. I happened upon this forum while doing some research on the name, after finding a vintage Marley Hodgson #58 Catcher yesterday. Based on all I'm reading here, I'd say $1.30 was a good price! The bag is in pretty overall excellent condition, the leather is AMAZING, and its all leather, blue and tan.
