Getting started on AAF uniform

hi all. i was interested in getting started on an aaf uniform. prefeably a fighter pilot in europe. i was just wondering if there was anywhere to get a sort of checklist of the required gear to get it started, and details of which fighter groups were there. i'm new to the game and want to start out right. also, i'm having a hard time finding a crusher cap. any suggestions? thanks alot.
